GoogleのIoT Coreサービス終了

成長市場から突然の撤退　Google CloudがIoTマネージドサービスを終了 (クラウドWatch)より。

Google Cloud IoT Coreが2023年8月16日にサービス終了となる。

 “Since launching IoT Core, it has become clear that our customers’ needs could be better served by our network of partners that specialize in IoT applications and services,” a Google spokesperson explained.

Google自身がIoT全体の統合サービスを提供するより、キャリアなどのネットワークパートナーのほうがより良いIoTサービスを提供できることが明らかないなったとしている。

AWSやMizrosoftも同様なサービスを提供しているが、IoTの勢力図がどのように変化するか注目したい。
